Legal data analytics’ is a buzz term which implies that lawyers must have a sophisticated knowledge of numbers, data visualisation and analytics. Yet data – and specifically legal data – can be extremely simple and help understand the value of legal work (beyond the hourly rate). This webinar will be relevant to both (1) in-house lawyers who aim to showcase the added value of a corporate legal department and (2) private practice lawyers who aim to optimise the cooperation between law firms and in-house legal departments.

This webinar will take participants on a legal data analytics roadtrip and help shape lawyers’ understanding of the following key aspects:
· Who are your clients?
· What sort of work are you doing?
· How do you measure the value of your legal work (beyond the billable hour)?
· How do you measure resource intensity?

In this webinar we will discuss:
– The case for legal data analytics
– The mechanics of legal data analytics
– What data to collect
– Putting it together & using data for decision making
– A case study from an in-house legal team
