Orsolya is a Partner at Szecskay Attorneys at Law, a Hungarian law firm with an international clientele and scope of activities. Orsolya is based in Budapest and she specializes in international transactions, M&A and corporate law, focusing on joint ventures, venture capital and private equity investments, as well as privatizations and tax law. She is also active in business mediation utilizing innovative supervision techniques.

Orsolya served in 2015-2016 as the President of AIJA, the International Association of Young Lawyers, which is the only global association of young career-building lawyers, aged 45 and below (http://www.aija.org). She visited 39 destinations during her presidency representing young lawyers at various international and national lawyers’ organizations and conferences, advocating for cross cultural communication and international professional exchange.

She is a regular speaker and – being an active member of Toastmasters International – enjoys delivering “TED-style” talks at various conferences in the legal sector to provoke interest and thoughts on various subjects that she feels particularly passionate about, such as the future of the legal profession and services, the lawyers’ role in person to person diplomacy, gender equality and the advancement of women in leadership positions, or the challenges of cross-cultural communication and negotiations.

She is fluent in English and German, and conversant in French and Spanish.
